As reported Autiguide, Holiday Auto magazine of Japan reported that Mazda's board of directors has approved the design, engineering and production of the Mazda RX-8 successor. Possible production version will use the name RX-8.

Hopefully, the new concept will be exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show next year. While the possibility of production models debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2019.
According Holiday Auto, the latest generation rotary engine from Mazda will drive this car. The turbo is expected to help increase the power in the car.
Just like the MX-5 Miata, Mazda will focus on keeping the weight of the car to have the power to weight ratio is impressive.
